Bummer

Last night we carved our pumpkin. Linc just wanted to look on it, not at it.

We are supposed to be in New Braunfels with Mimi, Poppa, Peter, Amy, Sarah, and PJ but my poor husband is in excruciating pain. His back is out of wack and he can't move without assistance.

So we're staying here. Pray that he feels better soon. I'll post Halloween pictures on Monday.

Happy Halloween!!

Nanis Halloween Party

We are at the Halloween party at Nani's apartment and there is a dragon roaming the halls! I'm going to have to speak to the management about this.

Filler

So after Linc's birthday and before now, we had a lot going on. I posted on one of our trips to Corpus, so I thought now I would fill in on other things that happened around that time. Jay and I had our birthdays, I turned 31 (Woo hoo) and Jay turned 33 and I reminded him that he will always be older than me.
Linc liked helping unwrap presents even though he was a bit scared of them at his birthday - time flies! I got a french press for my birthday and Jay got clothes. Now that we're old, our birthdays arent as exciting as they once were - but they were still nice. We went to dinner in Corpus for my birthday with Ashley and Tyler and ate ice cream cake.
Nani has moved into Colonial Oaks. She likes it so far and Linc misses her but we see her almost every day. Tonight she came over for dinner - Salmon with Dill sauce. Its a really nice place but its hard to leave your home of 45 years so its taking some time to settle. All her friends and family have been great about going to visit and calling. Tomorrow - our visit with the Harveys!

Photoshop

So I finally, today, October 18, used the Photoshop Elements program that Jay got me for Christmas. It is awesome! I don't really know how to use it but I am sure having fun figuring it out - and I'm looking into some tutorials too. I used it to enhance this picture I took this weekend of Maylee...

We had a very busy day today. Jay was off of work, and I had errands to run with Nani. Then I finally got out my pumpkins! Now my house is much better looking. I'll post some pics tomorrow. We also moved furniture so that I can finally finish unpacking my guest room!!! I know that doesn't seem that great but to me its GREAT! Now I can unpack and actually sew the projects I've cut out and been working on.
For now my hubby is in a Rangers play-off induced haze, so I have to watch him and make sure he doesn't fall off the deep end.

Sweet Baby Marilyn

I just got back home from Corpus Christi this evening after a weekend of newborn baby cuddling, goose tickling, and missing my boys.

Yes it was my official first weekend away from Linc and it was so hard! I missed him and Jay but they has a good time at Grammy and Pawpaws house. I got to meet my new niece "Maylee". She is so tiny and sweet. She is eating and sleeping like a champ! We even got to go to lunch and get a pedicure while Mike and Melissa watched the babies.

It was a great weekend but I am REALLY glad to be home with my guys.

Dewberry Farms

We went to Dewberry farms yesterday with some other moms from the Moms group I joined. They organized it and we met there and it. was. awesome. They have a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, pig races, bouncing pillows, food, singing chickens and a goat that can walk on water. Just kidding about that last one, but it is really really awesome!

Lincoln loves to walk and run, especially outdoors now. The problem we kept running into in the pumpkin patch is that he doesn't pick his feet up very far and kept tripping over and over and over. That kid has persistence! He would fall down, stand up and fall right back down again. Also, he is soooo uninterested in me and me taking pictures of him. He tends to run away. Note several pictures of his back. The one above is of he and Levi checking on the crops. They are only one week apart in age.

He looks very serious here, but he had a ball. I took him up on this big bounce pillow and he immediately ran down it, and face planted in the sand. Then the attendant walked right over and awarded me the mom of the year award! I kid. But seriously it was scary, but he got right back up and kept playing. After that he scooted backwards when he wanted to get off the top, or as the picture above shows, walked his feet down while bouncing on his bottom. So cute!

This was a ride with barrels cut out and painted like cows. I almost let him ride with his friend Conrad (below) but I'm so glad I didn't! He would have jumped and that would be tragic. All the moms of younger kids rode with them... you can see Melissa, Erin, Allison, and Marta.
Lincoln and Conrad are good buddies, they are both very active, wild little boys.

They had all kind of play structures, this is a log tube and my little boy stared into it, as if at the abyss, for a long long time before venturing into it. Once he did, I couldn't coax him out!

I have many more updates coming soon... my goal is to post everyday next week starting on Sunday, in order to get caught up! Going this weekend to meet my newest niece in Corpus, Marilyn!!
